Our organization is run by volunteers! We regularly host workdays at the farm, where volunteers can join us in managing and propagating our native plants. We also have a number of open volunteer roles, below. If you would like to contribute to our mission in any of the following ways, please reach out to Patti Ragsdale at patti@botanicalbelonging.org.
Working in the Garden at Happy Apple’s Farm
At our volunteer workdays, participants will work alongside an educator to accomplish garden maintenance or native plant propagation tasks. Our hope is that these hands-on experiences will result in more knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of the native plant garden than traditional education and discussions would normally foster. The day’s specific activities will depend on the day and season, from starting seeds, to transplanting seedings, to managing weeds, and more. No experience is necessary to help us!
Open Volunteer Roles
It takes a lot of work to run a nonprofit organization, but many hands make light work! If you have interest in serving Botanical Belonging in any of the following areas, we would love to have you. Experience is a benefit but not a must; we can train you and guide you in any of these areas.
- Farm maintenance
- Fundraising & donor engagement
- Sponsor acquisition
- Grant writing
- Website
- Social media
- Email newsletter
- Event and plant sale promotion
We also have a few open seats on our Board of Directors that we’d like to fill.
Your Support Makes Our Mission Possible.
We are so thankful for your time, effort, and energy! If you are interested in supporting Botanical Belonging as a volunteer, please reach out to Patti Ragsdale at patti@botanicalbelonging.org.
